Reflecting my Lesson

As a big part of learning reflecting is important especially as teacher. So I am going to reflect about the Class Face to Face discussion activity that my group gave. I really feel like we prepared well. We met as a group and discussed our ideas and also our difficulties. When we met before class started we tried to work out any glitches we might come across. I didn't even think that my computer needed a download however my co teacher handled it with ease and explained the situation. All in all I liked that we did the lesson as if we were teaching a room full of students...oh wait a minute we were...lol

I tried to use Animoto but it wouldn't link up with my Facebook so that I could use my pictures. I will try again later this weeknend to see if I can get it to work. For now I have a million and one things to do for classes this week.

Great Ways to use Twitter

I believe Twitter can be a fun way for students to communicate with eachother about assignments as well as with the instructor. I would use Twitter to post assignmets or some little hints on the assignment also praising the students on their work. It is endless and I great ideas come to me when I am in the classroom working with the students.

Reflection on Prezi

I really like Prezi. It was a lot of fun creating. I will have to create more Prezi's. I am amazed how easy it is and it all takes imputing information and copy and paste. I enjoyed class today. I don't know why I have to make myself come to class. When I get here I learn a lot and I am excited about the interaction with my peers. I think I am not motivated because all of my classes are online and then I only have this one which is face to face some Sat. However, as I stated I learn a lot of new ideas and technology and I am so excited to use them.

Podcast & Vodcast's

Today in class I leaned about Podcasts. Our Facilitators were a good group. I have never used or created a Podcast. My classroom experiences are getting quite comical. He I figured I was really good with technology and lately whatever can go wrong is. I don't mind though it just makes me realize what my students go through when the technology fails to cooperate. I survived and with the help of my fellow students we created and conquered and now I am all excited to utilize Podcast's. Sheng-Lu really helped me understand that I will have to find a audio program that will work when using Podcast. It is a fun chaotic but not so chaotic class. Pauline

My paper about Blogs

Blogging for Beginners
I am having a hard time trying to navigate through the world of Blogging but I am curious and soon I will be blogging important information soon enough. I had some help during class and while everyone completed the task I seemed to have ran into one road block after another. So I am going to give you an insight of what some of your students may go through when trying to learn to blog.
First off the computer would not allow me on because I had to change my internet connection on my lap top. So I tried the computer lab computers and geeezo peezo they took for ever to warm up. So, I change my internet setting on my lap top and for some this is easy but for me it is a trying task because I have a new lap top and I have Window's 8. Need I say more.
So, I am finally logged on and I am creating my blog set up and it is in another site. It allowed me to set up a homepage and did nothing more. I mean on the up side my home page looked pretty suave. So, here everyone is moving right along in class and I am having to start over and it seemed everyone else was completing the simple blogging assignment.
However, I am a survivor and I kept on plugging away so I get help after class by the Professor. I welcome the help for sure. I was excited I had one and could easily post for my professor, but nope not so easy.
My instructor was working with another student and I was having the same difficulty as them I could not open the google doc to put my blog url....being the inventive student I am I submitted it under my assignment for blogs. Not the right place but in order for me to feel like I completed the task I had to get it to the instructor some way some how.
So I will end this with I was patient with myself and I didn't blow a gasket or feel like I need "Blogging for Dummies Book" I just decided that I would be a determined student and find a way to get the job done.

Blogging

Tonight in class I struggled with Blogging only because I used a website to create my blog. It was not a very user friendly site so I went with Blogging.com and so far successful. I liked the learning that took place today in class. I liked that the class seems very inviting and I like many of my classmates I have met. I enjoy the brainstorming after the lessons. Good Class!
